Samya is from Maarif in Casablanca. She is an art producer with extensive knowledge of the Moroccan craft sector and has been Fenduq’s Director since its creation.

Since graduating in 2010 in “tourism, heritage and sustainable development” from Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakesh, she has worked as a project manager and producer on a wide range of cultural and development ventures in the region including the 5th Marrakesh Biennial in 2014. She has collaborated with many international contemporary artists and local organizations.

Having a socially engaged personality she is interested by the environment, the interaction of traditions with Modernity as experienced by the so-called ‘Social generations’ in Morocco, and sustainable development policy making.
